Technology, a provider of high-speed optical interconnection comprehensive
solutions, announced today that its next generation 800G OSFP DR8+ low power
optical transceiver based on Sipho technology was recognized
among the best by the 2023 Lightwave Innovation Reviews. An esteemed and
experienced panel of judges from the optical communications community
recognized InnoLight as a high-scoring honoree.
“On behalf of the
Lightwave Innovation Reviews, I would like to congratulate InnoLight on their
high-scoring honoree status,” said Lightwave Editorial Director, Stephen Hardy.
“This competitive program allows Lightwave to celebrate and recognize the most
innovative products impacting the optical communications community this year.”
Osa
Mok, Chief Marketing Officer of InnoLight Technology, said,‘In order to meet the rapidly
evolving needs of the market, low-cost and low-power 800G optical transceivers
are very attractive for the deployment of next-generation data centers. We
believe that by incorporating silicon photonics technology into InnoLight’s
next-generation 800G DR8+ low power solution and delivering superior
performance, we can help our customers improve the efficiency of data
interconnection in a more cost-effective manner.’
The
innovation points for this 800G OSFP DR8+ includes silicon photonics chip,
excellent DSP bare die substrate design and RF design, innovative cooling
design etc., which is to ensure good signal integration and low power
consumption performance. Besides, high integration and simplified manufacturing
process are able to enhance cost competition compared to EML platform based
solutions over the market. Silicon photonics technology based DR8+ optical transceiver
would be targeting one of datacenter optics solutions as a more cost-effective
solution.
