Dr. Hsing Kung - Strategy Advisor

Hsing Kung has served as a managing partner of Acorn Campus Ventures since 2006. From 2000-2005, he co-founded Pine Photonics Communications, later Hsing Kung was chief executive officer and founder of Luxnet Corp from 1998 to 2000,and senior vice president of business development for American Xtal Technology from 1996 to 1998. He served as co-founder and vice president of manufacturing for SDL from 1983 to 1995 and was project manager in the Optoelectronics Division of Hewlett-Packard from 1974 to 1983.
Kung earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, a M.S. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. from National Cheng Kung University-all in electrical engineering. He also received a MBA from Santa Clara University. Kung is currently a member of Board of Trustees, the California State University.

Dr. Sheng Liu - Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Liu co-founded InnoLight Technology in 2008 and serves as CEO till now. Prior to that, he worked for many years in a number of companies in the optical transceiver industry including Agere Systems (formerly Lucent), Pine Photonics Communications and Opnext, engaged in product R&D and management.
Dr Liu has been active in the Chinese American high tech communities. He is currently Vice President of Jiangsu Province Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Promotion Association, and President of Suzhou Industrial Park Optical Communication Industry Alliance.
Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology, M.S. from Chinese Science Academy, and B.S. from Tsinghua University, Beijing.

Mr. Osa Mok - Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Mok is a 30 year seasoned marketing professional in the telecommunications industry. He held various management positions at Fortune 100 companies including Intel, Xerox and GTE (now Verizon). He started multiple communications start-ups in Silicon Valley and later co-founded Pine Photonics. He was credited with generating business worth over $100 million in the Asia Pacific/South American markets for GTE and for several startup companies. Mr. Mok holds an M.S. from Texas A&M University and an MBA from University of Santa Clara, USA.

Dr. Wei-long William Lee - Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Lee is a well-known optics technologist in the optoelectronics industry. He started his own optical lab in the US and joined Pine Photonics to lead 10G optical development. He later served as the General Manager for Space Shuttle, Taiwan, General Manager for Wavesplitter, Taiwan and General Manager for Oplink OCP. Now he serves as CTO at InnoLight.
Dr. Lee has a Ph.D. from University of Illinois, Urbana, USA and a B.S. from Tsinghua University of Taiwan.

Dr. Charlie X. Wang - VP R&D

Charlie X. Wang has over 10 years of experience in the fiber optics communication industry, and over 9 years of experience in managing R&D teams for Silicon Valley-based Hi-Tech companies. As R&D director at Opnext Inc., which acquired Pine Photonics in 2003 and went to public in 2009, he led a team that developed CWDM 10G/40G opto-electrical packages and transceiver modules based on various technologies including fuse coupler, free space and PLC. In October 2012, Charlie joined Innolight as VP R&D.
Charlie obtained his Ph.D. from USTC (University of Science & Technology of China) and completed 3 years of post-doctoral research at UC Santa Cruz before joining Pine photonics in 2001.

Dr. Hai Ding - VP Product Management

Dr. Ding is a recognized expert in semiconductor packaging. He started his career at Baird Corporation, a spectrometer manufacturer, as an optical engineer. After Ph.D. study, he joined the Assembly Technology Development of Intel Corporation, where he was a senior substrate engineer, and later core competency manager. He received Intel Achievement Award twice, and he owns two US patents. Now he serves as VP of InnoLight.
Dr. Ding received his Ph.D. on Mechanical Engineering & Master on Electronic Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and Bachelor degree on Optical Instrumentation from Tsinghua University of China.

Mr. Gaohong Shi - VP of Business Development

Mr. Shi is a recognized expert in the optical transceiver industry in China. He has over 10 years of experience in developing 10G/40G/100G and above high-end optical transceivers, especially in R&D, engineering, production integration and production line automatization. Mr. Shi led Pine Photonics’transceiver R&D team in China, later he served as senior engineer at China R&D center of Opnext Inc., and engineering manager at PCL responsible for 10G transceiver development and production. Now he serves as VP of InnoLight.
Mr. Shi held at B.E. in Optoelectronics from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

Mr. Alan Bai - VP Domestic Sales

Mr. Alan Bai, has over 10 years of experience in marketing and sales. He joined HG Genuine in 2001servingas marketing engineer, regional manager, marketing manager, deputy manager and vice general manager. Mr. Bai is experienced in sales to large customers, market development, customer demand research, market planning and marketing management. Mr. Alan Bai holds a M.S. from Chinese Sciences Academy and a B.E. from Lanzhou University.

Mrs. Hellen Wang - VP Finance

Mrs. Hellen Wang graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, master of science, and she is studying in China Europe International Business School FMBA Program presently. Hellen worked in PwC for over 9 years, then served in one private equity fund. Hellen joined InnoLight and served in the Finance Department since November 2014. Hellen is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Pan Wang – VP Manufacturing

Mr. Pan Wang graduated from Wuhan University, has over 12 years manufacturing and Engineering experience in optical active device and optical transceiver industry. Before 2011, he worked for PCL (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Mr. Pan Wang graduated from Wuhan University. Mr. Pan Wang joined InnoLight in 2011 as 40G product line manager, now he serves as VP of manufacturing in InnoLight.

Mr. Kewei Zheng – VP Quality

Mr. Kewei Zheng graduated from Soochow University and has over 15 years of reliability and quality management experience in optical transceiver industry. He served as Senior reliability engineer and quality supervisor at PCL (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Mr.Zheng joined InnoLight in 2010 and now is serving as VP of Quality Assurance.

Mr. Oliver Sun – Fellow

Mr. Oliver Sun graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University with master's degree of EE and now is a Ph.D candidate. After graduating in 2009, he joined InnoLight Technology and completed the development of 40G/100G high-speed optical transceivers. Mr. Sun is currently serving as Fellow at InnoLight and is devoted to the development of 400G and next-generation high-speed optical transceivers.

Mr. Edward Xiao – VP of Photonics Devices

Edward Xiao has over 25 years work experience in optical networking and semiconductor laser industries. He started his career at Fairchild Corporation in 1994; joined Corning Inc. Optical Fiber Division in 1996 as the Asia market manager. In 2001, he moved to Silicon Valley and joined MegaSense as the VP of Product Management and Sales. In 2006, he joined Avanex which later merged with Bookham and Opnext to form Oclaro Inc. Before join Innolight, Edward served as VP of Operations and China GM at Oclaro Inc. He graduated from Zhejiang University in 1988 with major in telecommunications, completed MBA study at Shenandoah University (Virginia, USA) in 1994.
